It's New Year's Eve tonight,
but what is this? Well, You would say Silvester in Germany.
I don't know were it comes from neither "New Year's Eve" nor "Silvester". Fact is, it is the last day of the year in the Gregorian Calender and for some reason this day was named after Pope Silvester I. It was the day of his death in the year 335 Anno Domini, but this was also the year when they changed the last day of the year from Jesus Birthday the 24th of December to the 31st of December. That's how it came, obviously but I still don't know why. You can find more on

It is strange for I don't feel like New Year's Eve. No, It's more like a normal rainy sunday in London with the only exception that my brother Dän who was visiting me for one week went to the airport dead early in the morning and what came with it was the end of lovely and actionpacked periode. Camden Lock Market is my favourite place in London and I've spent plenty of hours this week there together with Dän and we found loads of interesting things like bracelettes, Necklaces, CDs, LPs etc.
One interesting thing was yesterday at Camden Lock Market. There were girls and boys giving hugs for free for more love and harmony in our world. What a great idea.
I wish you a happy new year, einen guten Rutsch ind Neue Jahr!
